During the first year as an Assistant Professor at UTK, Dr. Hill and Director Megan Potts submitted and received approval for the degree concentration name change from Educational Interpreting to Translation and Interpreting.

At UTK, Dr, Hill has taught the following courses:

TPTE 610 -  Internship in College Teaching and Supervision (graduate level)
EI 345 - Interpreting in Community Settings (fall)
EI 360 - ASL to English Interpreting II (spring and fall)
EI 340 - Principles of Interpreting (spring)

University of Houston 2011-2024
Upon appointment as program director, Dr. Hill submitted and received approval for a complete overhaul of the undergraduate program at the University of Houston in 2011.  Updates were made over the years to course offerings to reflect research trends and needs in the field.  Effective fall 2025, the State of Texas approved the program's name change from American Sign Language Interpreting (ASLI) to Interpretation and Translation (INTN).
